The rhematic dynamics of emotive verbs in A.P. Chekhov's short story (based on the material of A.P. Chekhov's short story "A Day in the Country")

this article explores A.P. Chekhov's short story "A Day in the Country" through the prism of rhematic dynamics and the use of emotive verbs, which convey the inner experiences of the characters and enrich the emotional palette of the work. The author of the article analyzes how Chekhov not only describes the events of the children's country trip, but also creates a multi-layered perception of the text through the subtle use of emotionally colored vocabulary. Special attention is paid to the connection between the beginning and the end of the story with its plot through the temporal and spatial structure, as well as the symbolism of natural phenomena. The study shows that emotive verbs embedded in the rhymes of sentences set a specific rhythm for the development of the plot and ensure the continuity of the emotional narrative line. Thus, the analysis of the rhematic structure and emotive vocabulary in the story allows us to better understand the artistic style of A.P. Chekhov and identify patterns of functioning of emotionally colored linguistic units in the Russian literary language.
