Information and communication technologies in teaching foreign languages in a military university

Abstract

the article is devoted to the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in teaching a foreign language. The study is aimed at identifying the conditions for teaching cadets a foreign language based on the integration of information and communication technologies. The methodological basis of the study is made up of general scientific methods: a critical review of the literature, a retrospective analysis, and observations. First, the author describes the technological approach to teaching and presents its fundamental conceptual framework “research-action-learning”, which allows for a detailed description and analysis of the learning process, as well as to determine the impact of ICT on the learning outcomes observed in the foreign language training of cadets. The article attempts to highlight the problems and opportunities associated with the use of digital learning, and suggests new research directions. Another goal of this work is to disseminate research conducted in the French-speaking context in order to compare it with the theoretical and methodological foundations of Russian-language research. This work is aimed at studying issues related to the integration of ICT in order to consider the main theoretical and methodological issues, as well as to identify a certain number of significant problems that will structure future research.
