Abstract

the article examines curatorship as a tool for facilitating the adaptation of first-year students in Russian universities. It explores the theoretical foundations of curatorship, including L.S. Vygotsky’s concept of the zone of proximal development, and addresses contemporary challenges such as inadequate curator training, limited resources, and low digitalization. Based on the analysis of problems and prospects, recommendations are proposed for improving curatorship practices, including the adoption of hybrid formats and professional training for curators. A diagram created using the Matplotlib library illustrates key issues and their potential solutions. The article highlights the importance of curatorship in reducing dropout rates and enhancing the quality of education.
