Abstract

Human activity throughout human history has been associated with numerous dangers and threats. In recent decades, the most acute hazard began to emerge from the activities of the man himself – the technogenic threat. Technogenic threats, radiation and chemical accidents that occurred in the past, as well as the dangers of modern terrorism are considered. The contents of the prevention of technogenic emergencies, which have an enormous impact on the life and health of both military personnel and civilians, are described. The conclusion is made about the necessity of measures to prepare and protect the population from technogenic hazards, which must be carried out in advance, taking into account the possible dangers.
