Abstract

Accounting in the public sector is considered as an important element of financial management, ensuring transparency and legality of financial and economic activities carried out by an institution. The key tasks, methods and regulatory frameworks that ensure accounting in public institutions are described. Special attention is paid to new challenges in connection with digitalization and the possible introduction of artificial intelligence into accounting processes.
