Abstract
The role of museum and exhibition installations in modern culture is considered. It is noted that by means of museum and exhibition installation it is possible to clearly show the connection between design and art and history. To achieve this goal the design concept of museum and exhibition installation for the anniversary of S.M. Tretyakov is developed. It is concluded that the final concept reflects both the trends of modern design development and the features of the chosen outstanding personality and era.
