Abstract
The features of the book publications formation in Russia from a culturological perspective are considered. The design issues of the first book editions, which are an example of artistic graphics of that time, are raised. The creation moment of libraries in Russia is also marked. A consistent study of book publishing makes it possible not only to study the context of Russian culture history as such, but also is one of the most important points in terms of the spiritual and moral component formation of the younger generation.
