Abstract
The paper studies the problem of the evolution of the traditional perception of the phenomenon of poetic inspiration on the material of the “Message about genies and evil spirits” by the Andalusian poet of the turn of 10th-11th centuries Ibn Shuhayd which reflected the main trends in the development of original Arabic literature of medieval Andalus during the period of active creative development when in the Arabic Maghreb affirms an end-to-end desire to formulate their own view of the world around (ad-diraya - recognition, knowledge, understanding).
