Abstract
The article explores different categories of euphemisms and types of euphemization in Dutch. Modern social and political context is considered which influences the creation of euphemisms as well as the relation between euphemization and spreading of political correctness in all spheres of communication. The article presents an analysis of euphemisms as a main source of politically correct vocabulary and their influence on the recipient.
