Abstract
The subject of this article is the analysis of translation activities in the field of Law in the modern multicultural environment, the factors that have a beneficial effect on the result and process of legal discourse of text translation is identified. The author interprets legal translation as a specific type of linguistic mediation, shows the special importance of socio-pragmatic and linguocultural components of legal translation. It is concluded that the quality of translation largely depends on the personality of the translator, his linguistic and sociocultural experience.
