Abstract
The article analyzes the factors that form the level of public confidence in the police. Based on the results of a sociological study conducted with the direct participation of the authors, as well as a secondary analysis of data, three groups of factors that affect the level of citizens’ trust in the police are considered: individual characteristics of citizens, characteristics of the institution under study, and the quality of state institutions in general.
