Policy of Great Britain in Eastern Africa (2008-2013)
Resumo
The article provides a description of the foreign policy strategies of the British Prime Ministers G. Brown and D. Cameron. The study focuses on the role of the United Kingdom in the modern development of African countries and the initiatives of the world community towards Africa. The authors make the conclusion that Britain's interests in Africa continue to be realized both in the form of direct financial aid to particular states and within the framework of international organizations.
Social and political philosophy of Marxism: civilization approach
Resumo
The article considers the prospects for combining civilization and formational approaches for studying the past and predicting the future development of Russia and the humanity at large. The authors analyze the concepts of contemporary Marxist thinkers, some of whom do not consider it impossible to jointly use these different methodological approaches in research.
Soft power in Romanian-Moldovan relations

This article considers the concept of soft power and its components. This notion is illustrated by the Romanian-Moldovan relations of the modern period characterized by an increase of tension between the two countries and intensification of Romanian soft power on Moldova.
Foreign policy of Serbia: a historical choice between Russia and the West

The article deals with the directions of cooperation of modern Serbia with the West (with Euro-Atlantic structures) and the East (Russian-Serbian partnership). The authors come to the conclusion that the Serbian leaders are now holding the balance for objective reasons, hesitating to make a choice in favor of one foreign policy direction.
Russian-Chinese cooperation in international organizations
Resumo
This article studies the interaction between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China in such international organizations as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the BRICS. In this connection the prospects for strengthening the cooperation between the two countries have been analyzed.
The United States presidential campaign of 2016: the future of the left-wing ideas
Resumo
The article considers the electoral success in the presidential primary elections in the USA in 2016 of the candidate from the Democratic Party, Bernie Sanders, who made a platform for building the American socialism. The study analyzes the program and the policy statements during the election campaign of B. Sanders. Based on public opinion polls, the article assesses the prospects for the left-wing ideas in the United States.
Image formation of Russian politician: a study of Vladimir Yakushev

The article considers the concept of political image and its components. The author provides an analysis of the features of creating a political image of a regional leader. Particularly, the image of V. V. Yakushev, the Governor of the Tyumen region of the Russian Federation, was studied.
Public relations units in government: goals, objectives, functions

The article provides an analysis of the specifics of public relations units in the structure of state authority bodies. The author considers the concept of a public relations unit, its goals and functions as well as the main areas of work. A conclusion is made about the necessity of intensifying the efforts to introduce new technologies in the processes of interaction between the authorities and the society.
State national policy in the Russian Federation
Resumo
The article provides an analysis of the features of Russian state policy in the sphere of national relations at various stages of formation of the Russian state. The main achievements of the Russian state national policy at the present stage are also considered. The author comes to the conclusion that the process of forming national policy in Russia has not been completed and now requires new actions to overcome some problems in the sphere of interethnic relations.
National identity as a scientific category
Resumo
The article analyzes the modern conceptual framework of the category of national identity and determines the relation with the ethnic and civic component of the term. National identity is considered as a complex system capable of self-organization and as a political component of various aspects of public life, including homogenization of the population and limiting the impact of cultural globalization.
