Аннотация
Research methods and organization. The analysis of scientific sources, regulatory legal documents, documentary and statistical materials, and correlation analysis was employed. The organization of this research was based on a systematic approach, which included several stages aimed at the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data.
Research results and conclusions. An analysis of the dynamics of the population engaged in physical culture and sports in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District has been conducted. The necessity for further development of mass sports, improvement of the quality of services provided, and enhancement of the qualifications of specialists in the field of physical culture and sports in the region has been substantiated. Special attention is paid to the personnel potential of the physical culture and sports sector, as well as to issues related to the decrease in the proportion of employees with higher education. Based on statistical data, measures have been proposed to improve the situation and further develop mass sports in the region.
