Application of cavitation on a laser heating element in surgery
摘要
The article discusses the phenomenon of laser cavitation initiated at the tip of an optical fiber immersed in a liquid under the action of continuous laser radiation. The properties of flooded cumulative jets arising from the collapse of cavitation bubbles are investigated. It is shown that in free space, jets transfer heat through a liquid, and in the case of cavitation inside a tube filled with liquid, they lead to an inversion motion of the liquid. The practical use of the identified effects in medicine allows for effective surgical treatment of vascular diseases, cysts, acute and chronic infected wounds.

PERSONALIZED MATHEMATICAL MODELS AS A DIAGNOSTIC AND PROGNOSTIC TOOL OF THE CLINICIAN
摘要
The article, prepared on the basis of the author’s scientific report at a meeting of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, presents the results of ten years of collaboration between mathematicians and clinicians in the course of interdisciplinary projects, as well as the results obtained within the framework of the recently completed Russian Science Foundation project “New Mathematical methods and technologies in topical problems of geophysics and biomechanics.” The results obtained will help in improving the diagnosis of coronary heart disease, patella hyperpression and cervical-brachial syndrome, as well as in planning operations for the reconstruction of the aortic valve and correction of congenital heart disease. Based on the accumulated experience in solving interdisciplinary problems, ways are proposed to improve the effectiveness of interaction between clinicians and mathematicians.

Application of artificial intelligence methods in medicine
摘要
The prospects for the development of artificial intelligence technologies in the field of medicine are considered. The analysis of trends in the development of artificial intelligence in general and specific issues, such as the analysis and classification of big data, predicting disruption and creating a reliable report using a medical decision support system. The advantages and limitations of machine learning methods in comparison with human expertise are described. The types of tasks for the prospective application of artificial intelligence methods are noted, such as analyzing biometric data flows to identify the patient’s condition and modeling the interaction of several drugs.

Prospects of digitalization in epidemiology
摘要
Digital transformation is a key area in modern epidemiology, with significant potential for improving public health parameters. The implementation of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods in the processes of diagnosing and predicting the incidence of infectious diseases increases the accuracy and speed of epidemiological analysis, allows processing large volumes of data, identifying patterns in the spread of infections and developing strategies to prevent them. The article reviews three software platforms developed at the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor for the implementation of epidemiological monitoring of coronavirus infection and other infectious diseases. The VGARus platform has become a key tool for monitoring the dynamics of the COVID-19 pandemic in Russia. The platform’s potential goes beyond SARS-CoV-2 research: it is expanding to collect data on other pathogens. The SOLAR platform consolidates information on laboratory results for SARS-CoV-2 and allows for effective data exchange between various medical institutions and government agencies, as well as the transfer of information on the conducted tests directly to the State Services portal in the personal accounts of individuals. SOLAR provides centralised storage of all COVID-19-related laboratory results, facilitating their further review. Another project of the Institute, the EpidSmart analytical platform, solves the task of comprehensive analysis of data on the development of the epidemic process in Russia with the identification of categories and territories of infection risk.

INTELLIGENT DATA MINING IN MEDICINE: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
摘要
The article discusses modern challenges and opportunities for using artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine. It presents a Platform for creating models of intelligent analysis of biomedical data, developed within the framework of the world-class Scientific Center “Digital Biodesign and Personalized Healthcare”. The key aspects of the infrastructure required for processing medical data, as well as the results of testing the Platform on real biomedical problems are described. Particular attention is paid to the use of AI for analyzing electrocardiograms (ECG), classifying mammograms, detecting melanomas and solving bioinformatics problems. The article is based on the report at the meeting of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences on December 24, 2024.

Migration power centers in world politics
摘要
In the emerging polycentric and multi-level architecture of the world order, in addition to the supporting system of centers of power in their classical understanding, new power subsystems are being built, in particular, migration. Centers of migration power can be defined as international actors, primarily major participants in migration processes, who are capable of achieving foreign policy goals with the help of migration tools and, under specific conditions, realize this potential. The difference in migration positions – recipient, donor, transit population or combinations of these statuses – presupposes a variety of centers of power in the migration field depending on the role they play (immigration, emigration or transit). The migration status of a country is reflected in a wide range and variability of the use of persuasion tools: from the weaponization of human flows and sanctions against migration to cooperation in the field of migration and the promotion of an attractive image of the country with the help of liberal and inclusive migration policy measures. In addition to leading powers, migration force centers may also include states that acquire leadership in the subregional migration space of foreign policy in the appropriate context and time interval, which determines the mobility and variability of the configuration of migration force centers. The current development of migration and the strengthening of its connection with foreign policy processes indicate an expansion of the use of migration force and an increase in the role of migration force centers in international relations.

The battle of Kulikovo in the context of relations between Rus’ and the Horde in the second half of the 14th century on the 645th anniversary of the battle on Kulikovo field
摘要
What is the significance of the Battle of Kulikovo in the development of relations between the Russian lands and the Golden Horde? According to the author of the article, the victory of Grand Prince Dmitry Ivanovich over Mamai, who had usurped power in the Horde, was for the people of that time a repulse of a specific invasion, and not the overthrow of foreign power in general. The subsequent conflict – with the legitimate Khan Tokhtamysh – ended with the latter’s recognition of the hereditary belonging of the Moscow princes to the Grand Principality of All Russia (Vladimir). It was the securing of the Grand Principality for himself and his descendants that was the main political goal of Dmitry Donskoy. The Battle of Kulikovo Field became the most significant and striking milestone on this path. The main consequence of the unification of the Moscow and Grand Principality of Vladimir was the creation of the foundation of a united Russian state – Russia.

Activities of Sh.YA. Amiranashvili during the campaign to transfer Georgian values from Russian collections in 1922–1923
摘要
In 1922–1923, by decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of the RSFSR, Russian museums and libraries were forced to transfer part of their collections of Georgian origin to Georgia. Resistance from the scientific and museum community did not produce results. A budding art historian, future Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences Sh.Ya. Amiranashvili took part in the work of the expert commissions. As archival documents from the State Archives of the Russian Federation (GARF) show, Amiranashvili was under obvious political pressure. In addition to the minutes of the meetings of the expert commissions and copies of the acts of transfer of art objects to the Georgian side, the GARF has preserved Amiranashvili’s expert opinion on the Georgian monuments of the Historical Museum, which can be given the provisional title “General Considerations on Georgian Fine Art”. It provides an expanded description of medieval Georgian art, in particular reliefs and sculpture, and reveals the complex multi-layered nature of medieval Georgian art. This expert opinion can be considered the first scientific work of Sh.Ya. Amiranashvili.
