Abstract
In this work, the authors give a theoretical substantiation thyroid resection elderly patients with thyroid disease. Also tell about their own experience of operations on the thyroid gland. In the work has distans results of treatment which were analyzed 120 patients who operated 5 years ago owing to nodular goiter in volume terms: resection, subtotalthyroidectomy, hemithyroidectomy and totalthyroidectomy. Euthyroidism was observed only in the group resection in 48% and subto-talthyroidectomy in 17,2%. In hypothyroidism and compensation was difflcaet due to accompanying pathology of the cardiovascular system.
