Abstract
The sex determination reaction proposed by Manuilov in 1923 still attracts the attention of researchers. Here we will not touch on the reaction technique, since it is analyzed in detail by Solovtsova, and its chemistry, which was developed by Perevozskaya, Galvyalo and Gusev. We will only point out that the reaction of M a n o y l o v a, apparently, depends on the difference in oxidative processes in men and women, which in turn is associated with both hormones and different blood content of proteins and iron.
