Abstract
Based on the generally accepted view that the trophoblast - chorion-placenta is formed from a fertilized egg, the presence of a Y chromosome in the nuclei of these structures from male fetuses was checked. The object of the study was materials from 25 embryos at 6-12 weeks of gestation, from 25 fetuses at 16-28 weeks of gestation and from 25 fetuses at 32-40 weeks of gestation. For research, pieces were taken from the umbilical cord, chorion and placenta. The histological preparations were subjected to fluorescence analysis of chromosomes according to the method of V.A. Benyush.
