Influence of pyrimidine derivatives on some parameters of lipid metabolism in children with acute appendicitis

Abstract

Some indicators of lipid and enzymatic metabolism in acute appendicitis in children and the possibility of correcting the resulting disorders with the help of pyrimidine derivatives have been studied. 112 children with acute appendicitis were under observation, divided into 2 groups. In the first, the generally accepted complex treatment * was carried out; in the second, children were also receiving methyluracil. During the operation and in the postoperative period, the methyluracil solution was injected into the abdominal cavity according to indications through the left microirrigator, and the children were given pentoxide or methyluracil in an age-specific dosage.
