Рецензирование
All manuscripts submitted to the Eurasian Journal of Life Sciences are subject to single-blind peer review. The manuscript is initially reviewed by the scientific editor to ensure compliance with the standards of the Journal within five days of submission. Manuscripts that are within the scope of the journal and meet the standards set out in the Author Guidelines will be sent to reviewers.
Each manuscript is subjected to peer review by two experts. In the event of a discrepancy between the opinions of the initial reviewers, a third reviewer will be appointed. It is our objective to limit the duration of the review process to a maximum of four weeks.
Peer review is conducted by members of the editorial board and by leading international experts in the relevant fields, invited as independent reviewers. In selecting a reviewer, the editorial board considers potential conflicts of interest.
For articles where the authors are the editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief, scientific editor, members of the editorial board of the Journal, reviewing is necessarily carried out only by external reviewers. Editor delegates handling the peer reviewer of any of their own work submitted to the Journal (excluding editorials) to another editor of the Journal.
Based on the manuscript review, recommendations provided by the reviewer should be one of the following types (each decision of the reviewer is justified):
- accept the paper in its present state
- accept after a minor revision
- major revision and subsequent review
- decline the manuscript
In cases where the review has requested changes to the manuscript, the authors will be invited to prepare a revised version. The authors will be informed of the editorial decision by an email.
The revised manuscript must be submitted by authors within a period of two weeks.
We politely request that the editor to be notified verbally or in writing should the author decide to refuse from publishing the manuscript. In case the author fails to do so within 1 month since receiving a copy of the initial review, the editorial board takes the manuscript off the register and notifies the author accordingly.
If author and reviewers meet insoluble contradictions regarding revision of the manuscript, the editor-in-chief and the editorial board resolves the conflict by their own authority.
Kindly note that a positive review does not guarantee acceptance, as the final decision in all cases is made by the editorial board.
All reviews are kept in the editorial office for 5 years.
