The article clarifies the purpose of students' professional competence formation – mastering the skills of working with scientific texts and teaching the principles of creating texts of various genres, both written and oral varieties of scientific speech. For this purpose, an analysis of practical exercises was carried out and a step-by-step communicative minimum was determined. The article emphasizes that the main aspects of the formation of students' professional competence are familiarization with reference literature, the study of lexico-grammatical features, and work with scientific texts. The authors emphasize the importance of a pragmatic approach and working with regional information when teaching students the scientific style of speech, and also determine the importance of developing students' skills to find information in various sources and interpret it in accordance with educational goals. - PDF (Russian)
