The journal highlights the advanced achievements of clinical medicine to provide methodological assistance to a wide range of clinical specialists, summarizes the scientific and practical experience of medical specialists.
Journal “Clinical Bulletin of the FMBC named after A.I. Burnazyan” is intended to become the third periodical scientific publication of our Center after “Medical Radiology and Radiation Safety” and “Medicine of Disasters” – one of the elements of a kind of strategic triad of publication drivers for promoting relevant scientific information.
The journal publishes scientific articles, scientific reviews, results of experimental and clinical studies.
The most important tasks of the journal are: generalization of scientific and practical achievements in the field of clinical medicine, improvement of scientific and practical qualifications of doctors, exchange of experience in order to improve medical technologies. The activities of the journal “Clinical Bulletin of the FMBC named after A.I. Burnazyan” is aimed at improving the professional competencies of clinical medicine specialists and includes summarizing current scientific achievements and advanced medical experience in a wide range of areas. Taking into account the peculiarities of a modern clinic, associated with the widespread use of high technologies, the rapid updating of the algorithms used for diagnosing and treating diseases, it seems extremely important to provide methodological assistance to the doctor in choosing optimal clinical solutions. The key objective of the journal is to increase the level of awareness of doctors of various clinical specialties regarding the prospects for practical application, as well as the effectiveness and safety of new and innovative medical technologies.

- Review method – «single-blind peer review»: the reviewer knows the author’s name, the author does not know the name of the reviewer; provides for three or more reviewers for all articles in the issue.
- The manuscripts submitted to journal are peer reviewed to ensure the conformance of the content to the requirements specified for scientific publications.
- The editorial staff previews the received manuscripts to see if they are properly prepared in compliance with GOSTs in force and with “The Manuscript Submission Requirements for which are regularly published in the journal. In case substantial shortcomings are present, the editorial staff is entitled to demand their correction.
- The editor-in-chief forwards the manuscripts to leading scientists and specialists in the fields concerned for expert review.
- The reviews are preserved in the archives for 3 years.
- The reviewer should state his evaluation on:
- article’s relevance as to the scope of the journal;
- importance and scientific validation of the issues discussed;
- novelty, timeliness, originality of the ideas and theories brought out;
- logicality and consistency of presentation, terminology use;
- correctness of composition of the abstract, of key words choice and so on.
- The reviews should contain the titles of the reviewed articles in full and surnames and initials of their authors.
- The length of reviews is not limited.
- The reviews should be forwarded to editors’ office in two paper copies and in electronic format. They should contain places of employment of reviewers, their positions, academic degrees and titles and contact telephone numbers.
- The paper copies should be dated and signed by reviewers.
- Review submission date should be within 20 days from the date of presentation.
- The manuscripts should be processed depending on reviewer’s evaluation as follows:
12.1. If the reviewer finds the material suitable for publication the editorial staff prepares it for publication according to established procedure.
12.2. If the reviewer finds that the material needs some additional work of author(s) prior to its publication the editorial staff forwards the review text to the author(s). The date of receipt of the revised text should be considered as the date of manuscript submission.
12.3. If the reviewer finds that the material can be published after some corrections by editorial staff the editors reach an agreement with authors on the corrections made and prepare the manuscript for publication according to established procedure.
12.4. If the reviewer rejects the article outright the editorial staff sends the review to the author(s) (without disclosing the reviewer’s identity) and the unpublished article is preserved in the archives for 3 years.
13. The author is entitled, in case of disagreement with a reviewer, to present a reasoned reply to his criticisms. The editorial staff acquaints the reviewer with the reply and the possible discrepancies should be resolved at the meeting of the editorial board.

The journal adheres to the policy of open access (Open Access). All the articles are placed permanently and free of charge immediately after the issuance of the journal. Full-text access in real time regime to scientific journal articles is presented on the official website of the journal.
Using AI tools
Due to the wide use AI in preparing, writing and peer-reviewing research papers the editorial team of the journal “Clinical Bulletin of the FMBC named after A.I. A.I. Burnazyan” is committed to ensure that such use aligns with our publishing requirements and ethical standards to meet the following provisions.
- Responsibility and authorship
- Responsibility for the content of the manuscript, including the accuracy of data, correct citation and compliance with ethical standards, lies entirely with the authors, regardless of their use of generative AI tools (i.e., capable of creating new content). The authors guarantee that the final text of the manuscript is original, reflects the results of the research conducted by the authors.
- AI (chatbots, such as ChatGPT and similar tools) cannot be listed as authors of the article or as persons who contributed to the preparation of the manuscript. AI-based programs do not meet the criteria for authorship, as they are not liable for the content of the work, cannot declare conflicts of interest, or manage copyright.
- Human oversight and validity
- When using AI tools as aids for text editing, literature search, data analysis and visualization, or idea generation, users are required to ensure human control at all stages of manuscript preparation, carefully checking all AI-generated outputs, including facts, citations, and analytical conclusions, for compliance with the relevance of the research data and accepted scientific standards.
- It is allowed to use AI to generate images (diagrams) illustrating processes, concepts, and mechanisms of action. It is prohibited to use AI to generate actual research results or modify images obtained during the study.
Transparency and disclosure
- Authors are required to indicate the use of generative AI tools when submitting a manuscript, including: the name and version of the AI tool; purpose of use (e.g. text mining/ editing, data analysis, generating processes flowcharts described in the work, used questionnaires, manuscript abstracts, etc.); prompts used in generative AI.
- Authors may not provide this information if non-generative AI was used or if generative AI did not significantly modify the content of the manuscript, for example:
- basic grammar checking;
- replacing only a few words in the text without changing the contextual meaning;
- a general literature search using AI without its interpretation and data synthesis;
- literature sources formatting without recommending/generating sources;
- general editing of images without their modification (cropping, increasing contrast, etc.).
- The editors may request additional information about the use of AI to ensure transparency and compliance with ethical standards.
- Rights and privacy protection
- Authors and reviewers must ensure that the AI tools used:
- comply with the requirements for the protection of personal/ sensible data and confidentiality;
- do not violate the rights of third parties, including intellectual property and data privacy;
- do not gain the rights to content created by authors and do not use it to train AI models without the user’s consent.
- By submitting material created using AI, authors guarantee that they have the right to use the generative content under the terms of the AI licenses.
- Technical control by the editors
- The Journal uses specialized tools such as national industry leader Antiplagiatplagiarism checker to identify texts generated by AI. Manuscripts containing unjustified use of AI may be rejected or sent for revision.
- Compliance with international standards and best practices
The editorial team of the journal “Clinical Bulletin of the FMBC named after A.I. A.I. Burnazyan” supports the provisions of Russian regulations, the position of the international publishing community and best practices presented in the following documents:
- Russian GOST 71657-2024 about the use of AI tools in writing scientific publications

Author fees
Publication in “Disaster Medicine” journal is free of charge for all the authors.
The journal doesn’t have any Arcticle processing charges.
The journal doesn’t have any Article submission charges.
Policy of data keeping
Storage policy is aimed at selection, storage and access to journal archives and includes the following objectives:
- Compliance of archiving materials to Archives’ state standards.
- Registration and publication of articles in accordance with professional standards.
- Ensuring wide access to archived material, provided by editorial practice.
Archive includes texts of articles, peer-reviews, abstracts and bibliographies, which are published in the journal. These materials are of great scientific value, as they comprise the most significant results of scientific research.
Information on all the articles published in the journal is stored on the publisher’s server and is available in the public domain on the website of the journal.
Deposit policy
Authors can keep and disseminate the copy of article before and after its publication. Nevertheless, we recommend our authors to start disseminating the article copies after the journal publication, because before it the article doesn’t have metadata, which is important for citation.
Open access policy
The journal adheres to the policy of open access (Open Access). All the articles are placed permanently and free of charge immediately after the issuance of the journal. Full-text access in real time regime to scientific journal articles is presented on the official website of the journal.
Copyright policy
The journal has free access, which means the ability to read, download, copy, distribute, publish the articles and to refer to the full text with attribution, without any restrictions.
What is permitted:
- Share (share) – copy and distribute the material in any medium and in any format.
- Adapt (create derivative works) – remix, modify and create new, basing on this material for any purpose, including commercial.
- Licensor may not revoke these freedoms as long as you perform the license conditions.
Under the following conditions: «Attribution» — You must ensure the appropriate attribution, provide a link to the license and identify changes if any have been made. You can do this in any reasonable manner, but not by one that would imply that the licensor endorses you or your way of the work application.
Without additional limitations — You may not apply legal restrictions or technological measures that create to others legal obstacles in the implementation of something from what is permitted by the license.

Policy for plagiarism checking
Only high-quality original research papers are published in the journal. Submission of articles in the journal implies that it has not been published previously or submitted for publication in another journal. When the author (s) use in his works passages of the other articles (in Russian, English or other languages), it is necessary to register them in the form of links to sources or permission of a previous publisher or copyright owner.
Articles iwith plagiarism are not authorized for publishing. If after checking the materials the presence of plagiarism is detected in the article the author, the relevant institution and the sponsoring organization (if any) will be sent a notification of refusal in the publication for the reason stated above.
All the materials that come to the journal are tested for plagiarism by «Anti-plagiarism” system, to be accepted an article must have at least 75% of text uniqueness.
Article identification policy
Every article published in a scientific journal is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) – identifier of a digital object (the phrase “Digital Object Identifier – DOI” is also used) – is a modern standard of information designation in the Internet, currently used by all the world’s largest scientific organizations and publishers.
Advantages of DOI and its impact on the publication of scientific research and their subsequent citation:
- DOI allows to identify and search for scientific data located on the Internet;
- this number always remains the same and using it you can easily find a journal, article or book;
- Digital object identifier considerably facilitates the procedure of citation of scientific publications, as its title, abstract and keywords are sent into the worldwide public database of scientific data International DOI Foundation ;
- when quoting the article containing DOI with one of the journals included in Scopus, Web of Science or any other prestigious bibliographic database, the author’s and article’s data are also recorded in the database;
- all journals included in Scopus, Web of Science and Springer, compulsorily assign their articles DOI;
- increase in the number of author’s articles citations automatically increases its index of citing and personal Hirsch index – the most important scientometric indicators at the present stage of science development .
DOI assignment for today is an inherent part of the system of scientific communication through the effective provision of scientific information exchange processes.
Conflict of interests policy
Experts should not be held to review the work, if there is a conflict of interest because of the competitive relationship, collaboration or other interactions or relationships with authors, companies or institutions in any way associated with the materials submitted.
Unpublished materials available in the present study can not be усед by editorial board in their own developments without the written consent of the author.
Article is placed in public domain in case of acceptance for publication. If there are any conflicts of interest (financial, academic, personal, etc.) participants of review process should inform the editorial board.
Direct contacts – are the main and most preferred way to resolve disputes between the editors, authors and third parties in the process of review and preparation of materials for publication, as well as in relation to already published articles. If you have complaints or claims you must report them to the chief editor of the journal in written form to the e-mail of the journal or mailing to the address listed on the website of the journal.
The letter must contain the essence of the controversial issue, the circumstances, the person’s name and / or the product in respect of which the claim is being made. Persons or organizations who complain to the journal editorial office for some issues need to be sure that these complaints will be dealt within reasonable time.
