Abstract
materials and methods: the conducted theoretical research suggested analyzing the motivational component of junior athletes for professional sports activities in order to achieve high results. The creative component of psychological training was taken as a basis, the role of its influence on the formation of motivational attitudes in the process of training and competitive activities with an emphasis on readiness to achieve high results. Results. The relationship between motivational readiness in sports activities and athletic performance is the result of the formation of leading personal motives in sports. At each stage of athletic training, these motives will differ. The role of the creative component plays an important role in motivating an athlete to achieve sports achievements. It helps to increase the athlete's interest and involvement in the competitive reference function, developing self-activity and facilitation (non-standard thinking). The development of creativity contributes to a deeper understanding of oneself as a person, to understand how to manage one's psycho-emotional state, which allows one to form stable motivational attitudes and achieve better results in professional sports. Conclusion. According to the results of the theoretical analysis, the role of the creative component in the motivational readiness of junior athletes is very significant and requires rational integration, especially at the stage of initial training. The creative component in sports activities contributes to the formation of extraordinary thinking, strong-willed qualities, and sustained motivation to achieve the highest sporting results, where a young athlete sees himself as a subject rather than an object of activity, demonstrating his individual abilities.
