Abstract
This article analyzes the political situation and the international situation that has developed on the eve of the XII Congress of the CPV. The detailed review of the results of voting of confidence members of the Politburo in January 2015, the procedure for the election of the new leadership of the party and the country's geopolitical situation, as well as a number of important internal and external threats to the security of Vietnam.
