Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of metaphors found in political discourse. To disclose hidden meanings of inner forms of metaphors, as well as other indirect speech acts, for example as irony or hints, we use the explanatory practices. Results of the study could form the basis for the creation of teaching materials for the training of foreign students to identify and understand the hidden meanings in the political discourse.
