Opportunities of an educational organization to preserve and popularize the Russian language at the international level

this article describes the experience of organizing the activities of a structural unit of an educational institution for the preservation and popularization of the Russian language. It reveals the essence of the areas of activity and their substantive characteristics, and describes the technologies and strategies for achieving this objective. The implementation of this area of activity is linked to the need to support the department's sociocultural mission, as well as educational, upbringing, and outreach projects. The authors describe the regulatory and legislative framework that enables the implementation of this objective. They describe the projects in detail in the context of a summary of current successful experiences in achieving established benchmarks. They emphasize the functionality and potential of each project within the project portfolio management system, implemented to effectively achieve the educational mission. This material describes the main areas of work of this structural unit of the educational institution, aimed at improving the quality of Russian language proficiency among students and schoolchildren, as well as its popularization in the global scientific and educational space. The importance of using creative and traditional forms of presentation of material to attract a wide audience to the study and preservation of the richness of the Russian language, and to counteract its pollution and degradation is emphasized.
