Resumo
national martial arts are an integral part of the cultural heritage of almost every nation, preserving unique traits and techniques passed down from generation to generation. These disciplines serve as an excellent means of physical education of young people and have their own specific rules, which creates the need to develop new types of fighting that contribute to the preparation of young people for life and its protective aspects. In particular, sambo, as a type of martial art and martial arts, combines elements of wrestling, self-defense and sports. The name “sambo” comes from the phrase “self-defense without weapons”, which emphasizes its role in the self-defense system and includes a wide range of combat and special techniques for effective recovery and attack in hand-to-hand combat. The study of the psychology of motivation in the context of sambo and other martial arts is of paramount importance. It identifies the underlying factors that influence levels of engagement and achievement in these disciplines, which in turn contributes to a better understanding of learning and personal development. Awareness of motivational aspects can improve training methods and pedagogical approaches, helping young people not only to develop physical skills, but also to build the confidence, discipline and determination that are essential for successful adaptation in society.
