Information and communication competencies: the genesis of the concept in modern scientific discourse

the article describes the current state of the problem under study and notes that, in contemporary scientific discourse in Russian pedagogy, most studies are devoted to describing the mechanisms, methods, and techniques for developing students' ICT competencies. However, the issue of effectively managing the process of developing ICT competencies in higher education students is given considerable attention, as this is one of the main strategic directions for the development of modern education. The authors explore existing interpretations of the term "ICT competence," characterize the main structural components of ICT competence, describe the basic skills and abilities of ICT competence, and provide a description of the criteria for assessing the staffing of educational organizations in the area of developing students' ICT competencies. The article lists and substantively describes the methods and techniques for using digital educational resources used by teachers when preparing or delivering lessons. The authors note that the modern education system is constantly undergoing changes associated with changing requirements for the organization, structure, and content of educational sessions, as well as teaching tools and technologies.
