Comparative analysis of vowel systems in the Ingush and English languages in the context of applied linguistics

the article examines the phonetic systems of vowel sounds in two languages—English and Ingush—with the aim of conducting a comparative analysis. The relevance of this work is determined by the increasing importance of phonetics in the teaching of the English language, which has resulted from the widespread application of communicative methodology, requiring learners to possess a high level of phonetic competence. Correct pronunciation is crucial for successful communication. The results of this research will help to identify both common and specific typological features of the Ingush and English languages, which in turn could serve as a basis for methodological developments in teaching English to Ingush-speaking audiences.
