The Concept of the Standard Dictionary in Pursuance of the Law “On the State Language of the Russian Federation”

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issues of the vocabulary and the structure of the dictionary entries of the Standard Dictionary, the creation of which is provided for by the law “On the state language of the Russian Federation”. The author considers the tasks associated with the representation of foreign borrowings in the dictionary. The research method is the analysis of empirical material and lexicographic practice. The author concludes that it is necessary to create an active type dictionary with zoning of dictionary entries, as well as an electronic resource for prompt discussion of language innovations.
