Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the phenomenon of musical ekphrasis in W. Shakespeare’s sonnets, namely to one of the most vivid aspects –the depiction of “music and songs”. The “music and songs” group has been distinguished by the author through taking the system-oriented approach and comparative analysis. As for the theoretical basis for the problem of image itself, the author uses the works of L. Geller, V. A Milovidov, A. G. Sidorov, V. V. Shilin and etc.
