Interaction of Genres: Definition of the Concept and Methodology of Research

Abstract

The article examines scientific papers on the interaction of genres, produced in the first quarter of the 21st century and based on one or a number of texts by one author. The approaches to the formation of the scientific object, reflected in the scientific terminology used, are pointed out; similarities and differences between them are revealed. It is concluded that the researchers exhibit cardinally different approaches to the phenomenon.
