Abstract

The paper presents an approach to the analysis of translation quality assessment as a type of intellectual activity which is studied by means of modeling methods. The results of our experimental study of translation assessment in the translation industry carried out using the structural-functional modeling technology, allowed us to outline the main stages and operations performed by the assessment actor, as well as the objective and subjective factors governing the process of decision making.
