Abstract

The article examines typical ways for the modern German language to express prepositive attributives to determinative compounds formed according to the “noun + noun” model, which is the most common way to expand the vocabulary of the German language and forms a single whole in combination with prepositive attributives. The structure, functions, and meaning of prepositive attributives are analyzed, and their significance for the expressive and semantic aspects of the text is noted.
