Digitalization of the postal industry in the Baikal Region: impact on business processes and economy

this article analyzes the impact of digitalization on the transformation of business processes in the postal industry of the Baikal Region. Particular attention is paid to the contribution of these transformations to the economic development of the region. The analysis is conducted in the context of the unique socio-economic conditions of the Baikal Region. A review of scientific publications and research was conducted to identify key trends and practices. The main implemented management systems and software solutions that contribute to the improvement and optimization of internal business processes in the postal industry were identified. Special attention is paid to changes in the field of customer interaction and the provision of public services caused by the active introduction of digital technologies. The implemented projects aimed at integrating electronic services and document management systems, including electronic registered letters and hybrid mail, were examinet. As part of the study, an assessment was made of the impact of digitalization on the quality and speed of service, as well as the expansion of the range of services provided. An analysis of the dynamics of the average number of employees in the postal industry in the region was carried out. A steady increase in the volume of postal items in the region caused by the digital transformation of the industry was revealed. The results of the study demonstrate that digitalization is a key factor in the transformation of the postal industry in the Baikal Region, significantly affecting various aspects of its activities. The introduction of modern technologies not only increases the efficiency of internal processes, but also contributes to improving the quality of customer service, expanding the range of services provided, and stimulating the economic growth of the region. This study contributes to the understanding of the processes of digital transformation in the postal industry and their impact on the regional economy.
