Abstract

the implementation of building information modeling (BIM) in large-scale investment and construction projects provides a number of significant benefits, including increased coordination between different sections of the project, optimization of design processes, and cost reduction. However, large-scale implementation of BIM is associated with a number of significant problems that can hinder its effective implementation. The key barriers include the complexity of coordinating multiple stakeholders, integrating BIM with specialized software packages for structural calculations, and the need to manage high initial investment costs. This paper examines the main technological, organizational, legal, and economic barriers that arise when implementing BIM in large-scale construction projects. An analysis of the economic benefits of using BIM, its impact on process coordination, and its role in simplifying the calculations of load-bearing structures of objects is conducted. Based on the analysis of scientific research and implemented projects in the Middle East, the USA, Australia, South Africa, the European Union, and China, recommendations are formulated to overcome these barriers and improve the efficiency of BIM integration in large investment projects.
