This article is about the issues concerning the EU legal regulation of training of workers dealing with medical uses of ionising radiation. The authors investigated the proposals of IAEA, EU, some provisions of the current Directive 2013/59 Euratom of December 5, 2013, laying down basic safety standards for protection against the danger arising from exposure to ionizing radiation, including education and training issues. The authors claim that some legal provisions need to be amended, and a unified list of competencies of such workers needs to be adopted at the international level.
