Abstract
The article is devoted to the process of formation and development of political parties in Iraqi Kurdistan. The article examines the evolution of the concept of “political party”, compares political parties in terms of their nature and genesis in different countries, primarily the Middle East. The article analyzes the common and special features of the Iraqi-Kurdish parties, as well as their political prospects.
