Abstract

This paper presents a new method for calculating leaks of an end gas dynamic seal with spiral grooves in various modes of operation of an aircraft engine. This type of seal has never been used in the design of aircraft engines, however, it has good characteristics in comparison with traditional types of seals. In the developed methodology, the effect of changing the engine operating mode on temperature loads and deformations is investigated. The simulation results are compared with experimental data.
