Some phenomena and issues characterizing the Albanian press during 1992-2008: a general overview

The period in which some of the characteristics and features appearing in the Albanian press' development will be dealt with, the period 1992-2008, has been defined by the political rhetoric and the media rhetoric as well as the transition period. Throughout this timeframe a series of important events have characterized the domestic life, tangible developments have taken place and meaningful steps have been taken to fulfill the scope aiming the full political, social, institutional and economical democratizing of Albania. In this context naturally the role and place of the mass communication tools have been of primary significance regarding the reflection and meaning of the domestic objective reality.
