The freedom of press in Albania during its contemporary developing stage

Through this article the author supports the thesis that the Albanian press within the last 20 years faced a few serious difficulties which limited its freedom, its political and economical independence and level of professionalism. This article aims to analyze the Albanian legislation based upon which the Albanian press exercises and fulfills its obligations in a developing society and also other factors as well that determine the freedom' level of the press' free functioning in Albania. At a time when the public audience has the tendency to align the meaning freedom of press with the free press.
