The concept of “information space”: different approaches to its study and features

Abstract

The study object in this article is the notion of ‘information space’ and scientific approaches to its research. On the basis of submitted sources the author identifies the main components of the information space. The author continues the study of the concept with highlighting a segment of the Russian information space. The current state of the Russian media market is being assessed and the key communicational channels are classified with specific examples. A conclusion is made on the changes that had occurred in the structure of the information space.
