Abstract
In his prose Vasilii Grossman offers a unique interpretation of Stalin’s image. In the main Grossman’s novel ‘Life and Fate’ Stalin’s image has got no psychological depth. His is a function of totalitarian state, a living incarnation of state power. His behavior is a behavior of state, and it affects millions of people.
