Abstract
The article presents a synthesis of the experience of higher education teachers about methods of teaching, stimulating professional and cultural self-development of students, the conclusions and practical recommendations of scientists on the issues of self-perfection, which is one of the main conditions of competitiveness of modern University graduates.
