Abstract
The responses of populations and communities of small mammals have been studied under different grazing regimens. It is shown that overgrazing and grazing restriction can have a considerable impact on the population status, demographic structure, and alspecies composition of small mammals in the Caspian northwest coast area (Nogai Steppe) and the steppes of Eastern Mongolia
