Editorial Policies
Aims and Scope
The journal accepts scientific articles from authors and research teams in the following scientific specialties and related fields of science (as of 01.11.2022):

Peer Review Process
The procedure for reviewing articles submitted for publication in the electronic scientific journal "Scientific Notes. Electronic Scientific Journal of Kursk State University"
1. The journal reviews all materials submitted to the editorial office that are relevant to its subject matter in order to provide an expert assessment. All reviewers are recognized experts in the subject matter of the reviewed materials and have published articles on the subject matter of the reviewed article within the last 3 years. Reviews are stored in the publishing house and the editorial office of the journal for a period of 5 years.
2. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are reviewed for compliance with the journal's profile, originality requirements (at least 85%), and formatting, and then sent for review by members of the editorial board. If the manuscript does not meet one of the criteria, it is not sent for review and is returned to the author(s) for revision.
3. If the review of the manuscript indicates the need for revision, it is sent back to the author for revision. In this case, the date of submission to the editorial office is considered to be the date of return of the revised manuscript.
4. Manuscripts containing a significant number of errors, inaccuracies, and typos are not accepted for review or publication. 5. Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements for formatting, as well as those that fail to provide the necessary permits, will not be considered. Materials that have been previously published or are under review in other publications will not be accepted.
6. The author(s) of the publication will be responsible for any errors or inaccuracies of a scientific or factual nature.
7. The author(s) will be notified of the review results via email within 45 days of submitting the article.
8. The editorial team does not guarantee the publication timeline.
9. Specialists working in the same department or institution where the work was performed are not involved in the review process.
10. Reviewers are notified that the manuscripts they receive are the private property of the authors and are not subject to disclosure. 11. Reviewing is conducted confidentially. The author of the reviewed work is provided with a copy of the review upon request.
12. Confidentiality may be violated only if the reviewer claims that the materials presented in the article are unreliable or falsified.
13. The Editorial Board does not engage in discussions with authors regarding the conclusions of the article, the comments made by reviewers, or other issues related to the established procedures for submitting, formatting, reviewing, and publishing articles.
14. The decision on the expediency of publication, after review, is made by the editor-in-chief, and, if necessary, by the editorial board as a whole.
15. The editorial board of the publication undertakes to send copies of the reviews to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation upon receipt of the relevant request from the editorial board.
Publication Frequency
The journal "Scientific Notes. Electronic Scientific Journal of Kursk State University" is published four times a year (March, June, October, and December).
Open Access Policy
The articles of the journal "Scientific Notes. Electronic Scientific Journal of Kursk State University" are placed in the open access.
