Abstract

The composition and structure of the Bacillariophyta periphyton community have been studied on four widespread submerged hydrophytes (Myriophyllum sibirica Kom, Potamogeton lucens L., P. perfoliatus L., and Stratiotes aloides L.) in foothill Lake Bol’shoe Miassovo (Southern Urals). It is established that the main factors determining its organization are the character of the coastline and changes in the chemical and physical parameters of lake water caused by natural eutrophication and distrophication processes.
