FORMATION OF SOCIAL COMPETENCIES OF STUDENTS THROUGH TEAM SPORTS

The purpose of the study is to determine the impact of team sports on the development of social competencies among university students.
Research methods and organization. The methods of studying and analyzing specialized literature and regulatory documents, surveys, and mathematical statistics were employed. The research was conducted at Samara State University of Economics. A survey was conducted among students representing various sports teams of the university.
Research results and conclusions. A significant positive impact of team sports on the development of key social skills was identified, including communication abilities, emotional intelligence, leadership qualities, and adaptability. Special attention is given to the differentiation of the influence of various sports on the formation of specific competencies, which opens up prospects for optimizing the training process and developing targeted programs for the personal development of student-athletes. The results obtained allow for the conclusion regarding the feasibility of using team sports as an effective tool for the socialization and personal growth of students, and demonstrate the potential of physical culture and sports in the formation of a comprehensively developed personality ready for the challenges of modern society.
