Abstract
Community-acquired pneumonia remains one of the most common infectious diseases. Changing epidemiological situation makes it necessary to revise the existing approaches to its treatment.Immune and metabolic disorders are studied before and after standard medical therapy in patients with community-acquired pneumonia. The patients included in the research had laboratory criteria which indicated presence of immune inflammation, oxidative stress, endothelial dysfunction and activation of lipid peroxidation. The performed standard treatment does not regulate the majority of modified parameters of immune and metabolic status, what stipulates the necessity of search for the methods of correction of disorders.
