Abstract
The question of electoral mobilization of indigenous peoples of Latin America remains relevant in political, cultural and anthropological studies. Due to persistent process of development of indigenous political movements, it seems necessary to analyze the case of “The Maya Renaissance” – a political project by yucatec politician Joaquín Díaz Mena, which gained him the governorship in the State of Yucatan in 2024. This article deals with the factor of political mayanism in electoral rhetoric of J.D. Mena and its influence on the results of general elections of 2024 in the State of Yucatan.
