Abstract

We discuss the possibility of determining the dielectric properties of the moon soil using the bistatic radar method. Analytical formulas are presented, which allows one to find the complex dielectric permittivity of the soil basing on the measured values of the Brewster angle and the reflection coefficient of a vertically polarized wave. The conditions for the one-to-one correspondence of the Brewster angle values and the dielectric properties of the soil are considered.
